filed on Monday, September 10, 2012.   1:03pm PT/USA

Chicago based Tweeten Fibre Co., the manufacturer of some of the most well known brands in the supply of snooker chalk and cue tips, have agreed to become a sponsor of the forthcoming 2012-13 United States Snooker Association (USSA) Tour season.

Tweeten made Triangle Chalk and Elk Master tips continuously prove to be very popular brands used by snooker players of all levels worldwide, particularly by many professional players, and will supply all Tour hosts with a very generous offering of these products.

Skip Nemecek, the President of Tweeten, was delighted with the opportunity to become a sponsor of the forthcoming USSA Tour, and he said: "2012 is the 100th anniversary of when my great-grandfather founded the company and he developed Elk Master tips for snooker and billiards players, and my grandfather developed Triangle Chalk for both snooker and billiards so my family has a long history with snooker.

"I have a personal curiosity for snooker and truly appreciate the skill and concentration that goes into the game.

"I love snooker, I love watching snooker, and I wish I could play! So anything we can do to help snooker in America is our pleasure."

Alan Morris, the Executive Director of the USSA, was pleased to secure the support of yet another prominent name in the billiard industry for the USSA Tour.

"Saluc have very generously extended their sponsorship into this next season's USSA Tour, and will supply all the Tour hosts with new sets of Aramith Tournament Championship Snooker Balls," he said.

"But it is magnificent to secure the interest and support of an American company who is known worldwide in the sport of snooker, and whose president is such a keen enthusiast of the sport."

The USSA is currently in the process of scheduling next season's USSA Tour, with the details due to be released before the end of this month.
