United States players arrive in Doha

The United States snooker team has arrived in Doha, the capital of Qatar, to represent the nation in the 2019 International Billiards & Snooker Federation (IBSF) World Snooker Team Cup.
The reigning and four-time United States National Snooker Champion, Ahmed Aly Elsayed, and the twice former champion, Ajeya Prabhakar, accepted the invitation from the IBSF to be one of the two represented teams from the Americas to make up the 18-national team event, which is being played at the Qatar Billiards & Snooker Federation Academy in Doha from June 29 - July 2.
The 18 national teams have been divided into six groups of three, with the United States drawn in Group E alongside Russia and Ireland.
The first group opponents for the United States on June 29 will be Russia with the match getting under at 10am local time (3am Eastern Time in the United States), and then the United States will face Ireland which is due to break off later in the day at 4pm local time (9am Eastern Time in the United States).
The top two national teams from each of the groups will advance into the knockout stage of the event, with the best four teams ranked straight into the quarterfinals.
