The reigning United States National Snooker Champion, Ajeya Prabhakar, has shown his rivals he is in good form for his upcoming title defense in May, by winning Event 7 of the 2014-15 United States Snooker Association (USSA) Tour, sponsored by Aramith Billiard Balls, Ozone Billiards, Sterling Gaming and the Tweeten Fibre Co., this past weekend at Ace Snooker Club in San Mateo, California.

California's Prabhakar was the first player to enter this year's United States National Snooker Championship, which will take place at the Prince Snooker Club in Brooklyn, New York, from May 22-25, signaling his eager intent to defend his title.

Prabhakar faced the 2012 United States National Snooker Champion, Sargon Isaac, in the final as both players dominated their Groups going undeafeated with four victories from four matches.

Prabhakar was amiably assisted by breaks of 55, 57 and 51 to seek direct passage into the semifinals, while Isaac comfortably advanced into the semifinals helped by posting runs of 52, 46 and 44.

Both players then booked their final spots with very straightforward semifinal victories, as Prabhakar came through 3-1 against Roy Chen, and Isaac defeated Graham Perry 3-0.

In what was a repeat of last season's USSA Tour final at the Ace Snooker Club which saw Isaac come out on top, Prabhakar proceeded to turn the tables on his opponent with a 4-2 victory assisted by a top break of 57.

Isaac is also expected to travel to Brooklyn in May where he will be one of the favorites to lift a second National Snooker Championship title, and no doubt he will try and gain revenge over Prabhakar not just for this loss, but also for his surprising 4-0 defeat at the time in the semifinals of last year's Championship.
