Big Brooklyn Tour win for Wong

Kevin Wong has played his way to his first ever title on the United States Snooker Association (USSA) Tour, as he claimed victory at Event 8 on this season's tour, sponsored by Aramith Billiard Balls, Ozone Billiards, Sterling Gaming and the Tweeten Fibre Co., which took place over this past weekend at the Prince Snooker Club in Brooklyn, New York.
This Tour event acted as great preparation for the all-important United States National Snooker Championship which will take place at the Prince Snooker Club in two months' time, and it will be a boost to Wong's confidence who eventually lost out to the eventual champion, Ajeya Prabhakar, in the quarterfinals of last year's Championship.
In what was a full-field of 16 players competing in this single elimination event, Wong claimed respective victories over Jett Li, Kit Leng, and Laszlo Kovacs to book his final spot against Juno Chen.

Chen meanwhile made his way to the final with successive wins over Wan, Riz Khan, and William Chu, but Wong however proved a step too far and he ran out a 3-1 winner.

Tour Event 9 of the season is due to take place at Champions Snooker in Houston, Texas, from March 27-29.
