The United States Snooker Association (USSA) is pleased to make the announcement that this year's United States National Snooker Championship will be hosted at Q Ball Snooker & Pool in Houston, Texas, from August 30 - September 2.
Q Ball Snooker & Pool hosted a very successful Pan American Snooker Championship earlier this year, and as the previous two Championships were staged in New York City the USSA accepted an offer from its proprietor Mr. Sayed Hassan to do the honor this year.

Since 2012, the Championship has been staged over the Memorial Day weekend holiday, however the USSA Board decided on an experiment this year to move the event later in the year to the Labor Day holiday weekend — the Championship has been staged at this time of year before, with the last previous time back in 2005.
Alan Morris, the Executive Director of the USSA, commented: "The USSA Board is always looking at how we can improve the staging of the Championship and to reach out to a wider participation. After the completion of this year's Championship, we will assess and review the impact of staging the event over the Labor Day weekend holiday.
"I would also like to once again thank Mr. Hassan for his continued support toward the United States National Snooker Championship, and look forward to another great Championship in Houston."

New York City's Ahmed Aly Elsayed is the defending champion and so will be the number one seed this year in Houston, where he will be going for a fifth win which will equal the record of titles won by Tom Kollins.
The USSA will publish the Entry Document shortly, and players may then enter the Championship using the official online entry form system.
The 2019 Champion and runner-up will receive automatic selection to represent the United States at forthcoming international snooker events.
