Aly hopes to show his class at Q School

The four-time and reigning United States National Snooker Champion, Ahmed Aly Elsayed, has arrived in England to compete in the 2019 World Snooker Q School at the Robin Park Leisure Centre in Wigan.
The World Snooker Q School offers snooker players all around the world the opportunity to win a two-year professional World Snooker Tour card, with this year's event running from May 18 to June 4.
There are twelve professional World Snooker Tour cards on offer this year, with the semifinalists in each of the three events gaining entry on to the 2019-20 & 2020-21 World Snooker Tours.

All matches are played over the best-of-seven frames, a race to four frames, and the draws and schedule for all three events have been made with Aly facing 24-year-old Shubham Arora of India in the first round of Event 1, on May 18, estimated to commence at 3pm local UK time (7am PT in the United States).
In Event 2, Aly has a first round bye and so will play the winner of the first round tie between 20-year-old Ka Wai Cheung of Hong Kong and the 47-year-old Englishman Steven Evans, with the second round match taking place on May 27, with an estimated start time of 11:30am local time (3:30am PT in the United States).
Aly has another first round bye in Event 3 too, and so in the second round will compete against the winner of the first round encounter between 26-year-old Fang Xiongman of China and the 20-year-old Russian, Ivan Kakovskiy. The match will get underway on June 2 at 9am local time (1:00am PT in the United States).
