Great Britain's Darren Morgan has pocketed the 2022 World Games snooker event bronze medal after defeating Qatar's Ali Al Obaidli in the playoff at the Sheraton Hotel in Birmingham, Alabama.
Day four of play started with the semifinal matches where Morgan faced Abdelrahman Shahin, and it was the 24-year-old Egyptian who raced to a 2-0 advantage though breaks of 52 and 74 by the former professional helped him get back on level terms.
A clinical break of 72 by the Egyptian in the final frame however helped secure him a shot at the gold medal match where he will face Cheung Ka Wai, as the player from Hong Kong had a very comfortable 3-0 semifinal victory over Qatar's Ali Al Obaidli.

Morgan then took on Al Obaidli in a hard fought bronze medal playoff contest, where each of the five frames played were won very decisively.
But it was the former top-16 world ranked professional who completed a 3-2 success, to win the bronze for Great Britain.
