The former six-times United States National Snooker Champion, Ahmed Aly Elsayed, is set to defend his Seniors title at the 2022 Pan American Snooker Championships which gets underway at The Corner Bank in Toronto, Canada, from October 22 - 30.
For the second successive year these Championships are being played at The Corner Bank and organized by the Canadian Billiards & Snooker Association (CBSA) under the auspices of the Pan American Billiards & Snooker Association (PABSA), with the Seniors Event running from October 22 - 25 and then to follow the Open Event which will be played from October 25 - 30.
Last year's Open champion Victor Sarkis, who defeated the United States' Renat Denkha 5-3 in a very entertaining final, was awarded a two-year card to play as a professional on the World Snooker Tour (WST), and that same coveted prize will be on offer for this year's Open champion too.
The winner of this year's Seniors Event will be awarded a place to play in the 2023 World Seniors Snooker Championship at the Crucible in Sheffield, England, as Aly did this year and gained the honor of becoming the first American player to play in a snooker event at the home of snooker.

From the United States, there are nine players competing in the Seniors Event and twelve players competing in the Open Event.
Aly will also play in the Open Event where last year he was narrowly defeated by Sarkis 4-3 in the semifinals, and Denka will also be in Toronto hoping to go one step further this time after suffering final defeats in the past two Open Events.
SnookerUSA.com will be closely following and reporting on all the performances of the United States players competing in both events of these Pan American Snooker Championships.
