This race to four frames match-up against the Ukranian amateur player would have been a tie that Aly would have felt that he could have won, espcially after he comfortably won the first frame.
However the 19-year-old decisively sealed the following frame, and then clinched the next two frames in the final colors with some good fortune despite offering his American opponent many chances.
Aly played a very good frame five to trail at just 3-2, but it was unsustained as despite receiving several opportunities to level the match, Kazakov went on to win the match 4-2 to book his place at the main venue for the British Open next month in Cheltenham, England (Match scoresheet).
Aly is next scheduled to be back in action in Riyadh in the inaugural Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters, where he is due to compete in Round 1 of this new World Snooker Tour event on Friday, August 30.
