2024 United States National Snooker Championship - Embassy Billiards Club. November 22 - 25

On completion of the Group stage of the 2024 United States National Snooker Championship at the Embassy Billiards Club in San Gabriel, California, Daren Taylor cruised through to win Group A as he seeks to successfully defend his title.

The number one seeded player from Arizona won all three of his group matches 2-0 to advance into the Round of 32, and looks in good form to go again go deep into this.

The 2022 Champion however, Steven Wong, lost one of his three Group B matches to Nevada's Tom Limor, but the number two seed still advanced out of his group for a Round of 32 berth.

The 2019 Championship runner-up Cheang Ciing Yoo was another player who came through his group with little trouble, as the number three seeded player from Washington won all three of his Group C matches without dropping a frame.

Despite not competing last year, New York's Raymond Fung is back this year as the number four seeded player. A former Champion himself when he claimed the title back in 2017 at the New York Athletic Club, he surprisingly lost his first Group D tie to Ernst Bezemer who went on the win the group, though Fung is safely through as the runner-up to secure his appearance in the knockout stage.

The twice former Champion Ajeya Prabhakar and number five seeded player this year had few problems in winning Group E without losing a single frame, while the number six seeded player Arif Mahmood also secured top spot in Group F despite losing a match.

Unfortunately, the three-time Champion and number seven seed Sargon Isaac had to withdraw from Group G on the eve of the Championship, but the number eight seed Omar Balsara secured his appearance in the Round of 32 after winning Group H.

The knockout rounds commence today at 9am local time with the first eight matches of the Round of 32, and the remaining eight Round of 32 matches getting underway at 12pm.
