The past two Championships have been the largest ever staged, and this year another very large field of participants are expected to compete on the nine tables available for play at The Champion Snooker Club, of which opened in July last year by the owner Mr. Sanaullah Ansari.
Alan Morris, the Executive Director of the USSA, commented: "It is always a very special occasion when we get the opportunity to host this great Championship in a brand new location, especially in this particular area of California which is fast becoming a hotbed for the sport given the number of new snooker clubs that have opened recently.

Last year's Championship was won for the first time by Chicago's Renat Denkha, after he defeated the defending champion Daren Taylor 5-2 in the final at Embassy Billiards Club in San Gabriel, California.
